After we left Utah with some tearful goodbyes, we were on our way to Omaha to visit my brother and his wife Sara in Omaha. I was pretty darn excited about this trip because I've never been able to go and visit my brother and sister-in-law, and since I think my sister-in-law is AMAZING I really wanted to see her and them. Plus my little niece Emelia is so cute. The kids had SO much fun playing with her! The car ride there was a bit long because we had to go so slow but we managed ok and the kids were so excited about seeing everyone that they kept themselves entertained pretty well. Lots of stuff like this:
We got to Omaha early in the morning, I think it was around 1 or 2am. Crazy tired and we put the kids into their assigned sleeping areas without difficulty. I think they only fell asleep an hour before we actually got there...of course. Once we got them situated we visited with Brian and Sara for a few minutes, got some water and saw and heard one of the most spectacular Thunder/lightning storms I've seen. It was impressive. It shook the house! I LOVED it! Then we crashed. The next day we had some waterslide fun. Brian and Sara had a really fun waterslide that the kids LOVED!!!
It was successful! Brian and Sara's yard is huge but isn't fenced so Ethan was tempted more than twice to run down to the road below. My heart stopped more than twice! I have decided I need to get one of these to have here. We don't go anywhere really and it's hot here....I'll have to try and find one at a bargain, but I digress.
We also went to Sacrament meeting with Brian and Sara and after church we went to the Temple. It was beautiful and the visitors center was fantastic!
This picture is the monument on the cemetary at the Temple. There was a baby only 1 day old in that list of people. So sad. There are other pictures but for some reason they aren't making it onto the blog. I'll post this and fix the problem....and finish our Omaha adventures with Brian and Sara!

We had one of those slides at our last cub scout activity - so much fun! I thinks he said she found hers at Costco. I'm sure your kids will use it a lot if you got one!
